You need to decide what story you are going to tell and how to tell it. Do you have thoughts, experiences, memories or opinions about a specific theme?
Ask yourself – How does the story affect me? Do I think it is a good thing or a bad thing in my life and why? Am I, or my friends or family, or people in my community, involved in a way no-one else would know about? What would I like to say?
Think of what might catch the interest of people watching your video. Think how you can tell your story visually.
Does a documentary style suit you and your ideas, or something more unusual – perhaps a rap response to a subject? Or a beautifully shot tour of your community? Use your imagination as well as following the traditional rules.
