For most teenage kids, Saturday mornings mean lazing in bed, maybe a brunch, if it's cooked for them and a certain gluing to the television.

But for Joe, it's the call of the racing circuit and the smell of exhaust fumes that drives him.

As he pulls on his leathers, boots and helmet and hits the track with his racing bikes the thrills of his weekend start.

He's hit the track in more ways than one in the past, but that has not stopped him from becoming the 125 North East Champion at the ripe old age of 13.
