| | | | | | Title: The only one
Twink is a photographer and has used his photographs to illustrate what he says in this film. He feels there's a lot of unnecessary stigma around mental illness and that it could be reduced by educating the public. One of the positive things about mental illness is some of the creativity that can come from it. Twink feels this is because mental illness can make people "think outside the box". However, one of the negative things about mental illness is how isolated people can feel. That is, they can feel like "the only one". (In case you were wondering, Twink got his name when he worked as a photographer with The Jam.) All I can say is well done Twink. More help less stigma and we'll all be better off.
Maureen Healy, Kansas An excellent portrayal of a mental health condition. More discussion and films are needed to educate the public into mental illness that affects so many of the population. Unless you are a sufferer, family member or friend, little will be known. Yet this illness can wreck so many families and lives. Please, please lets have more topics like this!
Goose, UK The photograph of the ups and downs of the stairwell was brilliant. Nice, concise, but helpful video.
