Title: Football Heaven
Originally from down south, the Rev Glyn Evans has lived in the North East for many years. He's a huge football fan and has been a Newcastle United fan of the month.
His church is just around the corner from St James' Park and has a sign outside that reads "The Parish Church of Newcastle United".
Glyn believes that we are all linked in some way. In particular, he believes there are similarities between football and religion and that both can be embraced as forms of worship. However, his somewhat irreverent approach to his beliefs has angered some people.
Mickey, Northumberland: Your views are very refreshing. If the church wants to connect with the people, it needs to come down from the pulpit a bit more and get involved. I know a lot of vicars do already, but more please!
