Do you feel like you want to turn around and go home before you even get into the office? Or dread going back into work after the weekend? Feeling unsatisfied or uninspired at work is probably something most people will experience at some time in their lives, but it can take a lot of courage to actually change careers. Ben Young, who studied applied chemistry at Newcastle University, is doing just that. After graduating he became disillusioned with his job as a school science technician and decided to go back to university to study something much more creative - glass. ![]() Ben's happy with the career change Great moveHaving just completed the second year of his BA in glass, architectural glass and ceramics at Sunderland University Ben is now thinking about which area he would like to specialise in. It can be scary changing career but there's no doubt that in Ben's case it's paid off - even though he still has to work in the school to support his studies. "It was a great move," he says. "Financially it wasn't a brilliant move but you kind of live with that if you're doing what you really enjoy." Watch a video of Ben working in the student's workshop at the National Glass Centre:
