Angel of the North

Art is chocolate for the mind, Anthony Gormley’s piece is Britain's largest and most impressive sculpture.

Twink with 'Angel of the North'

No matter how many times I see the Angel it never fails to inspire.

The hermaphrodite figure casts it's wings across the landscape with attitude.

Viewed either from the road, rail or up close and personal, the Angel just does it for me.

Whether you're a local or a visitor the hospitality is warm and gracious. Grandiose when viewed from the South, from the North the silhouette reveals the darker side.

There are many facets to the Angel, as many as the human consciousness.

In one word the Angel is just divine.
