  • Wayne : Hi Charlotte, you have the most beautiful voice! How did you get together with Jurgen Vries?
Charlotte: Well, it was a complete fluke how it happened, because my managers happened to know him, and I just really liked him. He passed it on to me and I really liked it. He said he wanted me to sing it on one of the tracks and it happened like that really...

Suzie: Your new single is great. Is this another side of you and to your music career?
Charlotte: Yeah it is kinda like a new side of me but I’m not going to go into dance music. I recorded two tracks but I don’t think the second one's going to be released cos its really hardcore trance. I want to go into kinda mixed soul and funk and rock together and see what I come up with. Just a really eclectic mix of different musical types, like a bit of world music and loads of different styles of music chucked together to see what it sounds like!

Juan: What is your favourite song of all time?
Charlotte: Favourite song of all time? Oh, theres loads of them! I think 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is amazing, obviously...Oh, my favourite song of all time, thats really hard! I love 'Bootylicious', that’s the best song to dance to but I can’t even think of all my favourite songs so I couldn’t say

TOTP: Could you do (from Bohemian Rhapsody) a bit of the "Scaramouche scaramouche, will you do the fandango" bit?
Charlotte: (laughing) No! I couldn’t do it anywhere near as good as Queen!

Jen:You wake up one day and find out you can no longer sing. Which other career path would you choose?
Charlotte: I’d love to be, like, a writer. Maybe a songwriter, or write books or something like that. I love English, I love writing and reading and stuff. And I love psychology and philosophy and I love ancient history so anything to do with any of those things. I wrote my autobiography at 13 which was pretty stupid, cos I hadn’t done anything at that age, so I might do a trilogy, like do one at 30, and one at 45 if I’m still going - but also do a proper book.

Michelle: Who would you most like to sing with on stage?
Charlotte: I love Ms Dynamite's way of singing, and I love Sting - I just think he’s a musical genius. There's loads of people. I got to do a duet with Wyclef Jean which was really cool, but I'd love to with loads of people. Puff Daddy once asked me to a duet with him once, when I was about thirteen but the record label said it wasn’t good for my image. I was GUTTED!
