Lord Ashdown: 'Vote for what you believe in'

The Labour call for tactical voting is "patronising" according to former Liberal Democrat leader Lord Ashdown.

Speaking to Today presenter Justin Webb, he said that the electorate "were quite intelligent enough" to work out how to vote.

"My advice to the electors is very simple - vote for what you believe in, otherwise how do you get what you want," he said.
