The bus left Clarence Park just after 12 noon and after a brief altercation with some low lying trees, headed towards the town centre via Victoria Street and St Peters Street before rolling up at the Council Offices for an official civic reception. At the reception over 500 supporters were waiting to cheer on the team and celebrate their successful season. The Mayor and President of St Albans City FC, Cllr Malcolm MacMillan said a few words about his pleasure of being able to greet the team for this historic achievement in one of his final official engagements before his mayoralty ends. | | The players with the trophy! |

The Saints manger Colin Lippiatt also gave a passionate speech thanking his players and fans alike for helping him with the fantastic achievement. Afterwards the players and dignitaries entered the council chambers for further celebration and a buffet. |
