    The Shadow Puppets played their first gig in Wolverton, Bucks, in November - and now they tell us what pulls their strings.


    Q. How would you describe your style of music?

    A. Rock/Dance hybrid

    Q: What would you say are your musical influences?

    A: Adam and The Ants, Depeche Mode, George Clinton, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Funkadelic

    Q:How did the band form?

    A: We've been together for two years; formed at a PS1 party in New York.

    Q: What bands had you all been in previously?

    A: Craig was in Sirvere. Spatts is ex of Criminal Minds and Environmental Science

    Q: What’s your favourite song on your current album and why?

    A: “Red Shark in the Sunset” as its got to be the closest to Dance/Rock.

    Q: What type of gig do you most like to play and why? (i.e. pub, hall, party, large venue, outside)

    A: Intimate, seedy. Somwhere the band can get up close with the crowd.

    Q: What’s your most memorable gig and why?

    A: Craig’s best gig was with Sirvere at Scala, Kings Cross.

    Q: What’s your fan base like?

    A: Growing.

    Q: What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever done/sent to you?

    A: Craig was once sent a leather thong from a woman (clichéd but true).

    Q: Name one unusual fact about each of you.

    A: One of us has a supernumerary nipple

    Q: If you could record a collaboration with ANYONE - who would it be and why?

    A: George Clinton. Why? because the man is pure, unadulterated funk.

    Q: What’s the band’s ultimate ambition or what’s your dream?

    A: To redirect the path of dance music
