Children in need

Each year the money you raise from your BBC Children in Need activities goes straight back into our community, right here in the Tees Valley, Co, Durham and North Yorkshire.

Thousands of children and young people have benefited from the money raised by BBC Children in Need through your support in the past.

2007 was a record breaking year raising over £37 million and we've been able to support over 1,300 projects working with disadvantaged children and young people all across the UK.

Grants are awarded each year to organisations who apply for help from our area.

Every pound helps so whether you are planning something wild or tame, big or small, normal or rather strange we would love to know more.

You might fancy juggling custard, sitting in a bath of beans, waxing your back, baking some Pudsey treats, holding a dance off or getting sponsored to just stay quiet all day...

BBC Tees event on the big day

We are holding a fundraising event in our reception area at BBC Tees on Friday 14 November and we would love you to get involved.

Perhaps you would like to get your head shaved in front of an audience or entertain people with your ballroom dancing on our tiny dance floor?

We'll consider most activities so please get in touch if you would like to come in and do your fundraising in our reception between 9am an 5pm on the big day.
