Journey South – homegrown stars of hit TV show X Factor – have been signed-up to perform at BBC Tees Valley Proms in the Park, sponsored by NS&I, where their local fans will get a preview of their forthcoming album, the aptly named Home.

Brothers Carl and Andy Pemberton will perform during the pre-event entertainment at the event, taking place in the new Middlesbrough Centre Square on 8th September. 

“We are very honoured to have been invited to take part and very proud that our home town is hosting such a prestigious event,” said Carl.

“We have played in and around Middlesbrough for over ten years and have done some great gigs in that time.

"Every time we return to play in the area it’s really special and we are sure that this time, being a part of this national music extravaganza, will be no exception.

"It’s also great to give something back to all the supporters we had from the area during the X Factor." added Andy.

Joining Journey South in the pre-event line-up are The Wildcats of Kilkenny and the Tees Valley Youth Choir.
