FeaturesYou are in: Tees > We Are Teesside > Features > The Fringe is a laugh ![]() DONKEY! The Fringe is a laughThis year Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival has gone one step further... and booked a comedy tent! They've got the bands, they've got the street theatre, they've got the parade and they've got the stalls... but one thing Stockton International Riverside Festival has lacked all these years is a comedy tent. Until now. ![]() Rob Rouse, from BBC3's "Comedy Shuffle" Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival's aptly named The Worthington Comedy Tent will be on for the full festival from 3rd – 5th August. It's sure to be a big hit with headliners including comedy icons Charlie Chuck and Frank Sidebottom, TV's Rob Rouse and local legend Anvil Springstein. Not to leave anyone out, the start of each day is child friendly, with the likes of Toby Hadoke, award winning ‘Moths ate my Dr Who scarf’ show, one for all the Dr Who fans out there! And to keep local fans happy, the three day event will be held together by compéres Dave Ingram and Matt Read, veterans of the Teesside scene. The Worthington Comedy Tent will be set within the Fringe’s riverside site and, as with all Fringe events admission will be free. last updated: 11/06/08 SEE ALSOYou are in: Tees > We Are Teesside > Features > The Fringe is a laugh |
