Back again and entertaining both the young and old, the Stockton International Riverside Festival brought a variety of unusual and colourful acts to the area. ![]() Dhol Academy/Walk The Plank Between 3-7th August spread across seven venues in Stockton, from the Riverside to the Arc, High Street to Trinity Gardens, talent from around the world was on show for the people of Teesside. I caught up with the Dhol Academy/Walk The Plank whose performance is inspired by the North Indian Dhol drum. The London’s Dhol Academy, Manchester’s master makers and pyrotechnicians Walk The Plank worked together to produce what was a colourful and exciting show. Everyone was eager to get a slice of the action and the queues at the entrance to the stages throughout Stockton seemed never ending. ![]() The fair in Trinity Gardens The gymnastics and acrobatics on display courtesy of the Beijing Choayang Circus at the main stage in Stockton High Street, left the crowd speechless.
