We have a number of tasks and roles that individuals get involved in where they need to be able to read and write.

We have to check the light systems, make sure every bulb's in place.
We check the toilets, make sure nothings broken in the toilet.
Male, fluorescent jacket: One of the tasks that I carry out as a gardener on Oldham Council is marking out the sports pitches using dry line powder to mark the lines out.
Pass to the bags, we use are 25 kilos and when we come to the pitches we generalize one and a half bags to two bags per pitch, depending on the flow rate of the mach-- the marking machine.

Numeracy skills, they may have to fill in certain reports on tonnages or material moved or handled.
Male, orange top, yellow hat: All of our drivers and plant operators are required to fill in a daily defect report for the bit of equipment or the vehicle that they're operating to ensure that it's been deemed safe and safe to use.

Your normal sweep speed it only does six mile an hour.
So I've got to give it at least three quarters of an hour each school to get round to sweep in the school and then half hour travelling to the next one before my time's finished.
