RICHARD: Alright boys.
DAVID: Hi mate.
RICHARD: I’m Richard.
DAVID: I’m David.
RICHARD: David.
ERIN: Erin.
RICHARD: How’s it going Erin?
ERIN: Goin’ well, goin’ well.
RICHARD: Tell me……
DAVID: So Autokeyz, it’s a solution to the traditional lottery car keys process. Usually when you lose your car keys…
RICHARD: Yeah.
DAVID: You have to go to the dealership. You also have to get your car recovered to the dealership.
RICHARD: Is that right?
DAVID: Yeah, so err, for a new set of car keys it would cost you between three hundred to a thousand pounds. With Autokeyz, we come to you.
RICHARD: Yeah.
DAVID: It’s a fully mobile service and it’ll only cost you about one hundred and twenty pounds.
RICHARD: Yeah.
DAVID: So let me show you how we do it. First we pick the lock in your car, like that…
RICHARD: Right.
DAVID: We pick it, we then decode your lock.
RICHARD: Yeah.
DAVID: And we put that key code into this machine.
RICHARD: Right.
DAVID: This then cuts your key for your car.
RICHARD: Yeah.
DAVID: And after that we have to program a little transponder to your car.
RICHARD: So there’s definitely an alternative use for all this as well, isn’t there?!
DAVID: There is yeah.
RICHARD: …umm, now I’ve never actually lost my car keys, in fact I don’t even have a car, so I’m quite….can’t use it. Isn’t there loads of people that do a mobile car key replacement service?
DAVID: There’s no one that does it.
RICHARD: Really?
DAVID: No one in our area that does it.
RICHARD: In your area?! Is there already other people in other areas doing it?
DAVID: There is a small, like, one man and a van people doing it. But there’s no brand, there’s no Autoglass. It’s like people going round, just a man in an unbranded van giving you a new car key. There’s no big brand.
ERIN: There’s no businesses doing it.
RICHARD: And how proprietary is this?
ERIN: Well, you…this equipment we bought is so…the really, what’s…what’s unique about us is having it all in the van and moving that to the person and being able to take that to the person. That’s what we would look into in terms of IP patenting.
RICHARD: But anyone could buy……you haven’t invented…there’s nothing you’ve invented. This exists. Anyone could have this. Right? Okay.
