Male, grey hair, green top: If you had a dice, an ordinary dice and you threw it, well the probability of getting a one would be six to one.
Male, yellow and grey t-shirt: Like with a coin, flip it with heads or tails, you get 50/50 each way.
Male, bald head, green t-shirt: The probability of winning the lottery is 14,000,000 to one.
Male cafe worker, brown hair, blue and white apron: Well it's been a lovely day today, so there's a high probability that we're gonna sell a lot of salads.
If it had been a colder day, then it's more likely that I'd sell warmer dishes.
Male, grey jacket, white shirt: If we were to print 20,000 of these flyers, we know that there's a probability of a 2% response rate.
And so then, we know that from 20,000, 2% of 20,000, 400 people are gonna respond.
So, our client can then use that as a gauge to manage the influx of new clientele coming to their business.
Probability calculates the chance of something happening in the future and is measured in per cent (%). It is regularly used to predict the weather. For example, 'I predict that there is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow'.
