The German camp is attacked by the British and a terrified Joey bolts away from the gunfire. Later he finds himself alone in no-man's-land, his leg injured.

Synopsis
At the start of this Episode Topthorn dies, Joey is devastated and remains with his friend even after shelling begins and he finds himself in the middle of a battle. Friedrich also remains with him and then he is also killed in the unfolding battle.
The next morning Joey is frightened by the appearance of a tank and he runs in panic away from Topthorn. In his terror he runs into no-man’s-land. The men on both sides try to encourage him over to their side of the wire but he remains where he is.
