Remembering real people who served in the war
We marked the centenary of the Armistice - the end of World War One - with a creative writing Live Lesson for primary students.
Designed for 7-11s, this Live Lesson features author and poet Roger Stevens and Charlotte Czyzyk, historian and project manager for Lives of the First World War at Imperial War Museums.
It explores themes of remembrance and commemoration, and encourages children to reflect on the end of the war through creative writing.
Content was designed in collaboration with 14-18 NOW, a UK arts programme inspired by the centenary of World War One.
This edited programme was first streamed live to schools in November 2018. Please note that we are no longer reviewing emails and messages from schools for inclusion in the lesson.
