PSHE KS3 & KS4/GCSE: How do crash diets affect the body?

This is the story of Ebonie who goes on a crash diet in order to lose weight for her holiday.

During the course of her diet, a specialist monitors Ebonie’s weight loss and body fat and she describes her feelings.

The effect of crash dieting on her body is described and explained by the specialist as well the benefits of longer-term balanced diets, combined with exercise, for weight loss.

The clip includes discussion around body image, and young people.

There is a sequence explaining how alcohol consumption and diet can lead to weight gain.
