Yulia Brodskaya:
I'm Yulia Brodskaya, and I'm a paper artist. I make art using paper as my main medium. I think my signature way of working would be as if I'm trying to draw with paper instead of on it.
I was born in Moscow. I started in art school when I was just six years old, so for me, I never considered doing anything else. When I came to the UK, I could feel the creative buzz around me. I wanted to become successful, to try new things.
Quilling is a paper craft. It involves strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. I make quilling mine by using it in a new way to create letterforms, and this made it more modern, so I think I gave it new life with my work.
For the past five years, I've worked on more than 100 projects ranging from advertising to tutorials, books… Never gets boring.
