Silly Socks' Big Adventure by Aurelia S.

Once upon a time there was a sock. People called him 'Silly Sock' because he looked silly all over! He had spots, squiggles and swirls. He was rainbow coloured too! The other socks didn't like him because he looked so silly! He didn't have a matching sock. He wished he had a match. He felt very lonely.

One day, he packed his stuff and went to find his match. He decided to go to the haunted hole! (This is the magical place inside the washing machine where nobody knows what's inside…even you!)

He had heard that inside the hole was a magical city called 'Paradise Island' where every day was an adventure, and every sock has a friend! So in he went, and found the lovely world!

Inside he saw lots of socks. Big socks, small socks, smelly socks, coloured socks, plain socks, he even saw socks at a sock school! But… None looked like him! Will I ever find my match!? He thought.

So, he walked and walked through Paradise Island and visited a supermarket. He was very hungry after his long journey. He bought milk, fruits, vegetables, a cookbook and some other things. He decided to get a room to stay in and maybe cook some meals. He got a room at paradise hotel. He loved it there, it was very relaxing. He baked a cake and ate it, after that, he took a nap in his warm bed.

The next morning, Silly Sock went out on the decking and saw a strange building. The building had squiggles and swirls all over it. In fact, it looked just like him! He was curious and decided to find out what was inside.

He went up to the building and he saw a trampoline park, a disco and a climbing park. "Aha!" said silly sock, it's an activity park! First, he tried to go to the trampoline park, but there was a guard sock at the entrance of the trampolines.

"Stop right there!" he said, "No silly socks allowed, you look silly all over, you might damage the park!"

"Oh ok." He said sadly.

He tried to get into the disco next. Luckily, there were no rules at the disco! He danced it out! He did the pounce of the leopard, the swirl of the sea, and the dance of the monkey! Some other socks saw his dancing and commented on it.

"What amazing dancing!"

"You're the rock man!"

"I love the dancing so much, I wish I could dance just like you" (and then that sock fainted)!

One of the socks was a girl sock. She said "I loved your dancing, would you like to go to the climbing area with me?"

"Yes of course" said Silly Sock.

In the end, Silly Sock did not have a match. But it didn't matter, because it doesn't matter if you look different to others. Be yourself! If you have spots, squiggles or swirls, or you're just plain, everyone is unique!
