The Three Headed Dragon by Arthur B.
Once upon a time, in a bright green valley filled with flowers and buzzing bees, there lived a big, silly, three-headed dragon named Dribble, Droodle, and Dazzle. Each head had its own name because each head had its own mind! "Dribble was the sleepy head. He loved to yawn and nap under the warm sun.Droodle was the hungry one. He always thought about food-especially cupcakes, marshmallows, and cookies. And Dazzle was the curious one. He wanted to explore everything, from the tallest trees to the tiniest bugs. One sunny morning, the three-headed dragon was walking through the meadow when Dazzle spotted something pink and wiggly behind a bush. "What's that?" Dazzle asked.Dribble yawned. "Probably a cloud."Droodle sniffed the air. "No! It smells like… bacon!"Out from behind the bush popped a plump little pig named Penny. She had a shiny pink nose and a cheerful smile.Hello said Penny. "I'm looking for some apples for my pie. Would you like to help ?Droodle licked his lips. "Pie? Did someone say pie?"But Dazzle said, "Sure! Let's go on a big adventureDribble sighed. "Can we PLEASE nap first though ?"Before anyone could say another word, the dragon's three heads started arguing. They argued so loudly that Penny just giggled. "You three are funny! If you want apples, you'll have to climb that big hill over there."The dragon looked up at the tall, grassy hill. It looked easy enough. So they began to climb.Step by step, they trudged up the hill. Dribble kept stopping to yawn. Droodle kept sniffing the air for snacks. Dazzle kept looking at butterflies instead of watching the path. Finally, they reached the top. "Hooray!" Dazzle cheered. "Look at the view!"But oh no! Just as they celebrated, Droodle's stomach gave a loud growl! He leaned forward to see if there were any apple trees below-only he leaned too far! Before they knew it, the great, three-headed dragon wobbled, teetered, and tumbled right off the edge of the hill!Down, down, down they rolled-flipping, flapping, and flopping-until they landed in a big, soft bush at the bottom."Oof!" said Dribble."Ouch!" said Dazzle."I'm hungry!" said Droodle. They tried to get up, but their tails were tangled, their wings were twisted, and their heads were stuck in different directions…Just then, Penny the Pig trotted over, giggling again. "You silly dragon! You should've watched where you were going."Penny helped untangle their tails and gave them each a shiny red apple. "Here you go. Next time, remember-don't fight with yourselves, and always look before you leap!"The dragon felt embarrassed but grateful. All three heads said together, "Thank you, Penny!"From that day on, Dribble, Droodle, and Dazzle learned to work together. They still had adventures-but they made sure to climb hills carefully and never argue halfway up.And whenever they saw Penny the Pig, they remembered that even dragons need a little help-and a little friendship-sometimes.
And that is the end
