excellant idea ihave done so to level two hopeing to start level three counselling at collage end of year. Im post-op since 2003 no advice but be prepared to be 150% open about yourselfe.Brenda.

At long last I have started hormone treatment and live 24/7 as a woman, which is fantastic. To me it is so natural and my only regret in life is that I did not accept my true feelings earlier as I did not want to cause emotional hurt and pain to my family. I feel so alive at long last.Best wishes Donna xx

I would like to say to Jackie and other people that are questioning anything in life, sexual orientated or not, think carefully first. Obviously Jackie thought long and hard but do it for yourself. Be happy with who you are and see if you would be any happier in another sexes skin? x

I have been through a very turbulent time recently and on 10/08/07 I attended a social meeting for transgendered people and they were such an amazing and supportive group, making me feel so welcome. It was then that I realised that I was no longer alone with my gender problem. Jaqui, you with out realising it, have also helped me to accept who I am. My inner core values are the same, it is just the outer shell that I have to change so that I can be the woman that I feel I should be. Best Wishes Donna xx

Hi Folks. Thank you, those of you who have made positive comments and also of course, if you want to argue against, please feel free. I was particularly drawn to the thought of couselling but obviously it whould be dangerous to do this on an amature basis. So I am enrolling on a gruelling course which threatens to pull me through bushes backwards! I can give accounts and opinion based on personal experience but it would be unwise to give advice. It is a shame that my last interveiw was live and isn't recorded here on this site because it included a recorded day to day diary of when I went for surgery. It is so easy to give opinion without knowing the full facts but It's a bit like giving council without qualification.Kind regards.

Well done on your video Jaqui.To James, it is only boring if you have no experience of it. I like Jaqui, haved experienced gender dysphoria first hand and it is something with in you that you can not control and the desire to be the opposite sex is so intense, it is almost unbearable. I am waiting to see a gender specialist but the wait seems forever.Jaqui, what are you like at councelling?DM

Why is there so much material on the BBC Suffolk website about transexuals? Are there really that many & is it a relevant issue? It's boring. Surely there are far more important items that take priority.
