Crushdeluxe

Crushdeluxe formed in 2002 in the north east of Suffolk and they've been plying their trade at every watering-hole in East Anglia and beyond.

Ian Cook - Guitar and lead vocals
Sarah Cook - Keyboards and backing vocals
Andy Graham - Bass and backing vocals
Angie Bowman - Drums and backing vocals
Zoe Hallsworth - Saxophone (occasional member)

The band's released 4 CD EPs - 'Weekend', 'Hope', 'Postcard' and 'Kiss Of Life' - as well as the 10-track 'Weekend' album. Some of their output's been recorded at Latvia's premier recording studio 'Megarocksound' in Riga as well as slightly closer to home in Norwich's Purple Studios.

"An infectious and catchy power-pop sound, but age might not be on their side for a band which tags itself as 'music for the now generation'."

Mini Review

The band's headlined local events such as the Lowestoft Carnival Beach Party, Halesworth's Gig In The Park and were selected by a panel of judges to play a song live on one of the BBC East TV inserts into Children In Need night in 2004 (see the feature & pictures and listen to 'Are You Ready For The Weekend?' live from the Norwich Forum using the weblink on the right>).

Andy Graham

Crushdeluxe also boast a celebrity connection with bassist Andy being the brother of none other than Ed Graham, drummer of The Darkness. Ed and his bandmates have been known to check out Crushdeluxe in their rare time off, but have yet to invite them along as support in the world's enormodomes.
