Myself and Mervin had a brilliant day and I hope everyone who turned up, did as well. The crowds were entertained with singers and performers from lunchtime right through to Ebony Eye’s live broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk at 4pm.
Local singers Miss Henry, A-Star and Lexus kicked started our show off in great style and chatted to us after, about their music. This is a group you definitely need to watch out for and hopefully we’ll get to see more of them.  | | LIQ: copyright Chris Woods |
We also had artists from Birmingham, namely Super Sass, Chrissy Mai and Mr Diamond who hosted a set of reggae and RnB flavours. The dancehall music was provided by Outlaw Candy who gave us a sample of his tracks. But the music didn’t stop there. LIQ - Ladies in Question, a girl group from London did a smashing on stage performance with their latest songs as well. Our headlining act, Suffolk singer Nate James, travelled back from his hectic schedule to perform live on the Urban Stage for us. His soulful vocals and cool tracks including his debut single ‘Set The Tone’ and next release ‘Universal’ were truly welcomed by the cheering crowd. This Woodbridge born singer who is signed to Universal had a sell out gig back in February at the well known music venue; London’s Jazz Café. His music blends classic soul with funk and beats. If you missed his excellent showcase at the park, you can still see him live. He’s performing at the Shephards Bush Empire in London on 26th May. I am sure that everyone who turned out in the sunshine, had a great day. They certainly kept the party spirit going right to 6pm, helping to make Ebony Eye's first outside broadcast one to remember!
