The ticket line is now closed, but tickets will be available on the door for £20.00, cash only. Doors open at 4.30pm and the gig begins at 6pm.

Last year Delirious? toured the UK, North America and Europe but Xpression05 promises to be one of the band's biggest British audiences ever.

They will be flying in from Berlin to fit in the Ipswich gig and for guitarist Stuart Garrard the concert gives him the chance to play in his home town stadium for the first time.

Andy Hawthorne of the Message Trust in Manchester will host the four hour event.

"More than half of Britain's 18 to 30-year-olds have not attended a religious service outside the traditional rites of 'hatch, match and dispatch' since childhood, according to a recent opinion poll," says Gavin Stone, Youth Adviser for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

"And worryingly more than one in ten have never been to church. If young people today rarely enter churches, then the Church needs to consider how to give them a spiritual experience away from our traditional buildings," says Gavin.

"The evening promises to be an opportunity for thousands to worship to their God, for some maybe for the first time," says Gavin.

"Christian music can be vital in bringing God's word to life. Hopefully this event will not just be a one-off occasion but inspire those young people to seek out similar opportunities in the future."

Xpression05 will be the third day of Christian events in the Britannia Stand at Portman Road. On Saturday 25th June the Mothers' Union, the world's largest Christian voluntary organisation, will hold its General Meeting at the stadium. Thousands of branch members from the UK and the Irish Republic will be joined for the first time by Provincial Presidents representing 3.5 million members in 75 countries.

The night before the stage will be used for a Service of Welcome for the Mothers’ Union which will be attended by thousands of members of congregations from parishes across Suffolk. The service will feature the award winning youth choir, Cantate.

The ticket line is now closed, but tickets will be available on the door for £20.00, cash only. Doors open at 4.30pm and the gig begins at 6pm.
