It's over a year ago now. I still remember every second of this amazing concert. Idlewild and the Zutons were fantastic too. The speech at the beginning brought a tear to my eye. Everybody Hurts was brilliant. The highlight for me though was when I heard the first chords of Losing my Religion. The crowd rose to it's feet as one. Brilliant, Awesome, Fantastic, Stunning.

I went to the concert last night, but when I bought the tickets I bought them because of the Zutons. I didn't really know many R.E.M. songs just the well-known ones. I was blown away by all of the bands but especially R.E.M. They were amazing. Today I now own their Best Of album so I can really get into them. I felt that the speech at the beginning about the bombs in London was appropriate and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up when they played Everybody Hurts.
However, for me, the highlight of the show was the last half an hour, particularly when Stipe came out wearing an ITFC shirt!! Brilliant!

I went to last night's concert and REM were a complete class act, with Michael Stipe even donning an Ipswich jersey during the encore. Amazing concert and the Zutons did a fab job as opening act.
