Robbie's Reign!
Robbie Williams' new album has become the fastest seller this year, after only five weeks. It's the third year in a row that the Burslem-born star has had an album at the top of charts at Christmas.
When our Robster’s album ‘Escapology’ was released on the 18th of November it was the fastest selling of his career and the first to be released from his 80 million pound deal with EMI, and since then it has sold over a million copies. Robbie's latest record, 'Escapology' was released on November 18th and since then it's sold nearly more than a million copies. And despite the fact his single 'Feel' only reached number three in the charts, it's the third consecutive year he's had a Christmas number one album.
Escapology has yet to be released in North America and Japan, where he hasn't had significant sales, but the album has already topped the charts in 10 other countries.

Cheekily Top
Transylvanian twins, The Cheeky Girls (what a name) have beaten Robbie Williams's (clueless public!) first chart release for a year - with a song written by their (not-so-talented) mum.

Monica and Gabriella Irimia, described by pop svengali Pete Waterman as "the worst act ever" (well he didn’t become this big because he had no idea about music), stormed in at number two in tonight's chart.
Superstar Robbie, 28, who co-wrote the track Feel with regular writing partner Guy Chambers, had to settle for fourth place with the debut release from his fifth album, Escapology.
What is the public thinking?! Cheeky Girls - give me Robbie any day (drool!).

Robbie Williams stuns Schumacher!
British pop star Robbie Williams told Formula One champion Michael Schumacher on Saturday that he better watch out on the track next season because his best friend, a little-known British race driver, was out to beat him.
Robbie who is renowned for making outlandish comments, told Schumacher before a German television audience of more than 10 million that he was not only a racing fan but also close to Britain's Jenson Button, a 22-year-old Formula One driver.
He has been reported to tell the five-time Formula One champion, on air after a live performance on ‘Wetten dass?’ (a ZDF television programme). "I'm a friend of Jenson Button, and he's going to kick your ass."

Schumacher, who won 11 grand prix races last season and is favoured to win his sixth title for Ferrari again next season, appeared surprised by the comments in English from Williams for a moment, at first staring coldly at the British singer, before later breaking the tension with an uncomfortable laugh.
Only one word of advice, Robbie, don't bite off more than you can
chew!

Robbie? Irritating? No way...
Blobby not Robbie? Robbie Williams's duet with Nicole Kidman, Somethin' Stupid, was the seventh most irritating number one, the survey found. HMV, the retail chain, recently carried out a survey and found our Robbie's cover of 'Somethin' Stupid' with Nicole Kidman (gasp!).

Amongst the other Top 10 Most Irritating Christmas songs were Mr Blobby by Mr Blobby, which was at No. 1 and Can We Fix It by Bob the Builder came at No. 4.
Amongst the most popular Christmas No 1's were Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade came No. 1 and I Want To Hold Your Hand by The Beatles came No. 6.

How dare they insult Robbie? Do they have any musical taste? I am ashamed of our general public! How could the find that song annoying (sob, sob)!

He sang songs from his new CD "Escapology" in a television studio on Friday night, recording a show to be broadcast in the Netherlands next month.

The location was shrouded in secrecy to prevent uninvited fans showing up. Ticket winners had to present themselves at a closely guarded address before being taken by bus to the studio.

Robbie Resigning?!
Stoke star, Robbie Williams seems to believe that this is the height of his career and from this point onwards he is gonna go downhill!

Whoa, Robbie; don’t you think that is a bit harsh?
And our all time fave star isn’t interested in breaking America (well, for every rule there is an exception!); like he says, "The absolute truth is I'm really not interested in breaking America. It's too much hard work. I'll be a new artist there, I can't be arsed. It's too much of a fight, I've got the money now, thank you and I'm not giving it back."

Seems like the Stokie boy is happy where he is and isn’t too bothered about disappearing from the music scene (is that what is coming through in the lyrics of ‘Feel’ from his new album ‘Escapology’??)!
Robbie, how could you; what about your adoring fans?!

Robbie Annoyed!
Our claim to fame is annoyed with the general public for thinking he is incapable of coming up with his own stuff and his ego was severely wounded when people assumed that his hit singles, ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘Angels’, were written by Guy Chambers, his musical partner.

Not being given credit for your own work is bad enough but being judged on the fact that you were from a boy band therefore you have no talent is very infuriating – don’t worry Robster, we are with you every step of the way!

Robbie and Nicole pregnancy revelation
Robbie Williams' former girlfriend Nicole Appleton, has revealed that during their two year relationship, she had been pregnant with his child.
nicole appletonDue to outside pressure from the record company management, the child was aborted against her better judgment.

Nicole Appleton formerly of the band All Saints, has reformed with her sister Natalie to form a duo, self titled 'Appletons'. The book 'Together' comes on the back of a whirlwind promotion for their debut single 'Fantasy'.

Appleton broke her silence about the abortion in the book 'Together' which was released on 3rd October. Nicole wrote the book with her sister Natalie. She claimed she had been forced into the operation for the sake of her career.
Although the book has been on general release for sometime, Robbie opened up about the incident in an interview on Dj Sara Cox's Radio 1 Breakfast Show, this morning. He says he backed the singer's decision to write about it in her book, and admits it was hard to cope with seeing it "in black and white".

Nicole spoke to Robbie eight or nine months ago before the book came out, and said she was going to write about the pregnancy. He was completely behind her, and stated: "If there's something that's so deep-rooted within yourself that you feel it would feel better to you that you exorcised it and got it off your chest, because secrets can make you sick and secrets can make you feel terrible... I told her that she was brave".

Robbie, who was in LA when the contents of the book were revealed, continued: "Obviously, I was gonna come back to England and there was gonna be questions like this asked so I needed to know what was going on with it and it really upset me, and tore me apart a little bit.

Williams denies the song Sexed Up on his forthcoming album Escapology was about Nicole. He added: "I wouldn't like to say who it's about because i'm trying to be a gentleman".

Nicole now has a child Gene with his rival Liam Gallagher, but the pair continue to exchange pleasantries when they bump into one another. The multi millionaire has stated: "But I'm always scared that Liam's gonna be there and come over and batter me."

ROBBIE SAYS `I DO' TO FAN
I bet all of us Robbie fans have at some stage fantasized about marrying Robbie!
Well one girl got the pleasure of having him say ‘I DO’ to her proposal!
The lucky, lucky girl is 15 year old Lauren Coia from Bishopbriggs, Glasgow who had been waiting since 4:30 in the morning outside Radio Clyde; where Robbie was touring during the promotion of his new album Escapology
He stopped over to hug and kiss his adorning fans, amongst whom was Lauren, and she was in hysterics when Robbie accepted her proposal:

"I asked him, `can I marry you?' He asked me what age I was and I just said 29. He said `in a couple of years I will'."

"I never expected to meet him today. It's a dream come true and I will never forget this. He's perfect."

The awe-struck mother of the 15 year old, Anne, managed to say:

"I really thought he was totally gorgeous and such the perfect gentleman. "I'm looking forward to having my new title of mother-in-law."

Wish we were all so lucky as to be able to say: "Robbie Williams said ‘YES’ to my marriage proposal!".

ROBBIE’S RICHES!
Ever wondered how rich Robbie was and where he ranked in the ‘rich list’? Well, now you can put that query to rest!
In a recent survey presented from the Sunday Times Rich List, our Robbie represented the music business and ranked 62nd with £10 million to splash (all of which are calculated from his sales figures and publishing royalties).
Of course it isn’t as good as No. 1, which was taken up by Phillip Green, the man who left school at 16 and is now credited for turning British Home Stores around; he earned more than £157.7 million - as a bonus!
