Pictures from Staffordshire's history - selected from the Staffordshire Past-Track Project

Bethesda Chapel
Bethesda Chapel
Bethesda Chapel, 1949
Built in 1819, Bethesda Chapel is an important part of the heritage of Stoke on Trent. Now, sadly, it is in a state of almost terminal dereliction (see our profile of the Bethesda).
The people standing on the balcony, in the top right corner of the photograph, are the choir.

Staffordshire Past Track is a Lottery Funded project showcasing archive photos, artwork, maps, audio and film representing the county's history. The site is expanding all the time and there are already more than six thousand images and over an hour of archive film footage available on the website - www.staffspasttrack.org.uk.
If you're interested in getting involved in the project and own photographs that you think would be of interest, or have local knowledge that you would be willing to share. Please email: [email protected]
