Pictures from Staffordshire's history - selected from the Staffordshire Past-Track Project

From cattle and sheep to Chilis and Hives
Bethesda Chapel
Weston Park - eighteenth century
The scene at Weston Park on the weekend of the V2003 Festival was a little different to the view shown here! Where cattle once grazed, the Hives now rock.

On August 16th and 17th, thousands of festival goers flocked to the park to see bands, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay,
playas part of V2003.

Staffordshire Past Track is a Lottery Funded project showcasing archive photos, artwork, maps, audio and film representing the county's history. The site is expanding all the time and there are already more than six thousand images and over an hour of archive film footage available on the website - www.staffspasttrack.org.uk.
If you're interested in getting involved in the project and own photographs that you think would be of interest, or have local knowledge that you would be willing to share. Please email: past.track@staffordshire.gov.uk
