The Garden
The garden by Ian Leech

I chose this photograph because it was taken on Mother's Day this year in our garden.

It includes three generations. My mother and father (front row each end),
my grandmother (centre front row), my daughters, myself and my wife (Back row).

I'd cooked a meal for everyone and in the late afternoon I decided to take the picture.

It was a beautiful spring day and we had several takes with the auto timer
that included my daughters hair falling over her face and me tripping over the tripod.
We were in fits of laughter and it was a lovely family occasion.

Sadly, my grandmother passed away a few weeks later and this turned out to be the last picture she had taken of her.
It is truly a picture of great joy and also sadness.
