Our reporter Alice Gregr went to Longton - where several local schools took part. BBC School Report encourages students across the UK to report on the issues and news that matters to them. Over 500 schools took part in the day and they all did different things to mark the day. I visited Longton Community Learning Centre where eleven schools from around Stoke-on-Trent were taking part. Some pupils from Trentham High were busy filming a TV news broadcast when I arrived. They told me what they thought of School Report Day... Help playing audio/video So all in all 2009's BBC School Report has been very successful with schools from across the region taking part in lots of different ways. I really enjoyed hearing what matters to students in Stoke-on-Trent.
