The town of Moddershall is to the north east of Stone, in a sheltered valley. Sport is a big thing in the village, with the local cricket club the most popular of the teams.

Strange fact about Moddershall

There are nine existing water mills in Moddershall, out of ten that used to exist there. They played their part in the rise of companies like Wedgewood and Doulton as they used to crush the flint that was whitened the clay used by the Staffordshire pottery industry!

What You Say about Moddershall

bob says that the cricket club is the best place in Moddershall - but didn't mention any pubs? Shame... and he's joined by an anonymous person who also feels it's the cricket club that is the best place in the town... Surely you're not ALL cricket fans in Moddershall?!
