Using the thumb method, cast on 51 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K1, (yfwd, k2tog) to end.
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: K1, k2tog 25 times. (26 sts)
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2.
Repeat the last two rows 4 times.

Shape Crown
Row 15: K2 tog 13 times. (13 sts)
Row 16: P1, p2tog 6 times. (7 sts)

Break yarn and thread through the remaining stitches, draw up tight and secure. Join back seam for about 1 cm (½”).
Cut ribbon in half and sew to each side of bonnet.
