Not sure. Like Rob says hislelf "it could be grower". First hearing thoguh - I thought it sounded like a great album track more than a single. But the beginnign is silky and the climax is great. Doesn't have Rob's usual unforgettable chorus though.. whcih might make its appeal limited(?) what do you think?

I have just read the "Give It Sum" feature on The Stoke & Staffordshire Robbie Williams Site. I know this is not directly related, but it was a somewhere to start and maybe you could answer my query. I paid a visit to Stoke to visit Robbie's birthplace and to see the famous "Potteries" as well, and was surprised to see that there was no reference to your homegrown superstar at all, and reading how Robbie still is very proud of his Stoke and never fails to say so and actively does community projects, I wondered why he is forgotten on the Civic recognition front. I know lesser stars have been supported and honoured in this way, so why not Stoke with Robbie? Of course if he does not wish it, then of course that would explain it, like the article stated, he's very modest about it, and perhaps prefers to go quietly about it. However, that taken into account, I think it would be a nice gesture for the Local Authority to show their pride in one of their own, who has become world famous and has done more to promote Stoke in a positive way than anyone I know. I have actually written to the Stoke Council Civic Offices and Tourism section about this and not even had my email acknowledged, so little hope of an answer there. I hope maybe you can answer it? If you can and Robbie has never been approached on receiving a Civic honour, then maybe its time he was, and a campaign to this aim would be the answer, I know it would be supported by a good many people not only in Stoke but around the world.

Dear Jackie - How sweet of you to say such nice things about Robbie.He is not the only well known person to hail from Stoke...There is Slash from Guns/Roses,Phil Taylor Pro Darts Player, Dale Winton Entertainer,to name a few.I think RW is a modest type and prefers from the heart not to want publicity!
there are many nods to Robbie in Stoke of a semi perm nature and he is a main share holder in their Port Vale Football Club which has a new part of their club facilities named after him. It's nice that people like you respect what he does and want to recognise this but I assure you every age person you talk to in Stoke has prob got a story or comment to make about Robbie Williams.that says it all maybe.

ive been inlove wit rob since i can remember n would die2 have his babies,im a huge fan n i know he does good music but lets be realistic here ppl. the world has too many problems and instead of pilling up some more, we should find ways to solve the ones present. yes he has many charity he is into but UFOs?that is fetchy. he has seen UFOs? not the little green men i hope cos that would go beyond all we believe that is good in robbie williams.he is a star is no reason for him to dedicate himself to something strange like the seriously silly tom cruise n his science church or madonna n her kabbalah faith to name a few. i may b green wit jealousy as ayda gets2 snuggle up to him but i hope it works out for them.really.

I am sorry, I was once a big fan of Robbie, till I read this book.I found this book to be so BORING. I know he has depression and mental health issues and that has an impact on his life, but SERIOUSLY, if you don't like the life of a celebrity then don't be one!! I found his behavior to be childish and pathetic, not the arrogant, smart man that I thought he was. He bemoans being paid $80 million for a record contract... poor Robbie. If he is so bored why doesn't he do something exciting with his life. Why is he so obsessed with breaking into America...who cares.... If he really, truly wants to settle down with Mrs Williams, then do it. Bloody hell. This book (and the 'real' Robbie) was so disappointing.

all i want to say, is all i have blieved and blieve and will blieve that robbie is one of real singers in this decade.real, means , real voice, real ability to vocals, real body language in show, real texts in his songs, real musik in his songs, real orchester for his songs at the end a real artist.we öove him, we listen to him and even he does not show up (which in a way is respectful) we never forget him or god forgive us compare him with other so called male artists.Robbie is real, is original and we hope and wish he will continue to be so.do not let himself to be buought or sold by mega businessmen who drive in music industry for earning more money.god bless him and may god help him.

Dear GAENOR - Robbie is back in his home in Hollywood doing all sorts as usual; this includes finishing off his very-long-time-in-process album and supposedly in the waters off L.A on jet ski`s investigating USOs (Unidentified Submerged Objects), which is underwater UFOs. you have as much idea as I what is true and what is not I am afraid.

Dear WEE Mandi - The tattoo on Robbie's chest reads Chacon Son Gout,he had this done a very long time ago in Paris while drunk... roughly translated it means, EACH TO THEIR OWN. But what the font is I'm not sure! (Anybody else know?)

REPLY: Dear Naughty (Winsome Witch) - Points to you! how can I answer a def NO? Robbie does not have to ask to have physical interaction (PC friendly way of saying ‘naughties’) though that is not to suggest he’s some kind of sex-obsessed or s`thing similar. What I will say is, although I am sure Robbie would always do the right thing and ask, I think it’s because of him been well-mannered and a formality.
Your messages are very interesting Winsome, keep it up - but a note of caution, remember to put in a BBC acceptable language as we all must do!

To me it's a very selfish word bordering on it being a demand, so no i dont do what i want. I prefer to use the word like,what i would "like"to do. Dear Sofia, As you prob have heard by now Robbie is in the process of doing a new album now; it is due out in a few months it seems. Robbie is as stable and secure now as he can get with a steady Girlfriend and a perm home with her and all that goes with it I think, don’t you?
It is deffo the most he’s ever been so far anyway,
Ayda and he met at the right time when he wanted and needed a steady relationship and a break from his previous manic life style. However there will come a time when Rob will get bored with a stable life style and want more activity and mental and work stimulation, this is when Ayda will need to be strongest and hold on in there. When he wants to leave LA and be a bit more like the old Robbie, she will have to be very patient then, when things get a bit more wild and not so in her own comfort zone and backdrop of her LA home, with Robbie running his life around her and her career and prefs so to speak. I mean this with resp - it just comes across at the moment that RW will do anything to hold on to Ayda because that is most important to him because he has become so fond of her and she has done what no other Girl has done for a long time and made him feel loved and secure and more an ordinary Guy.
Soon though, his work connections etc come into play and will maybe make him leave his quiet LA base behind for a while at least and his more lively alter ego will come back. Ayda prob has not seen so much of this side of his character. If they are right for each other and love each other for better or worse than they will be fine.
I think Robbie needed this long period of rest from his entertaining self to prove to himself and others that he could be a stable home based average 9/5 partner, he felt it was what he needed to do and it was his good fortune to meet a like minded person in many ways in Ayda, and I wish them both all the best. This is all just my uneducated humble opinion I must stress!

Comments on what's Robbie is upto, well i think it is no concern of ours what he is doingBut from reading all the rubbish in the press about him, it seems he is doing a lot of what he enjoys doing, and having a life of his own for once.It makes me mad to read the rubbish they print about him but then i shouldn't be surpised really, press always did.As for the UFOS so what if he believes in them lots of people do, i have followed the parnomal now for over twenty years, i love it find it all so interesting, there is so much stuff going on out there and we have no clue about half of it.so good on him for speaking out about it well done RobIf Robbie had become a train spotter or stamp collecter the remarks would be the same that he was losing the plot, why? because he has taken time off performing to enjoy himself and found something that holds an interest to him, also bearing in mind That Rob has ADHD, so keeping focus on one thing is hard enough so this is good that he has found something to occupie his mind with.I will be happy when he brings out a new album yes, but in the meantime as long as he is fit and well and enjoying life then i'm happy.

HOST REPLIES: Dear Anything Whilst I applaud your sentiments that Robbie`s biz is his own and none of ours I do not fully agree with these sentiments.
Firstly I care very much about RW`s well being and consider myself very loyal to him in most ways,however having said this Robbie knew as soon as he set upon a career in entertaining that he had to give up some of his private life. Being in the public entertainment sector esp been in a Boy Band you know straight away that if you are successful you will have money fame and everything material wise you could ever want, but this comes at the price of having fans who have such strong feelings over you that they will be very demanding and craving forever more of their Idols. After all it was THEY the fans who have put their allegiance and cash into them and their careers.
This is accepted by people like Robbie who have an overriding desire to be big in their field and love attention as well.This does not mean I think Pop Stars should be available to their public 24/7 but there should be an ideal scenario of give and take and consideration on all sides including stars,fans and last but not least media.
Robbie has various physical frailties like most,some side effects from his young wild days and some he was prob born with,he like most has had time to get used to any weaknesses he may have and they now serve to make him the stronger creative person he is.
People who call him names and term his life style in all manner of insults, namely abnormal, are shallow in their thinking and judging normal as what they perceive as normal which is not their given right to be Judge and Jury of whoever. I suspect that Robbie like many creative and clever Peeps have never been the so called average Joe Blogs since they were very young.In my opinion Robert whether he had got to be a Pop Star as he is or not would allways have been an artistic and creative and very emotional character - this due to his chemical make up and maybe in part his childhood experiences which are not anyones fault but do shape ones personality in many ways I think maybe.
Anyway RW will be bringing out another album shortly it seems so that will make everyone very happy including you, Anything.

HOST REPLIES: Dear Rosa, I had no idea that RW`s latest name for rubbish articles on him was "SOUP”. anyway I apologise if you think I have repeated any of this said ‘soup’ on these pages but I was not aware that I had. This is a BBC record of current affairs, mainly local to Stoke with Robbie being from here and still having Family and strong charity and Biz connections in the area – and that is why this section is here.
For a start I am not a BBC employee - and this is not a fan site in the normal way of things. I do this as a hobby and because I admire and have a fondness for RW.
Having said this the BBC is a Public Forum so all views are respected, and are open to constructive comment at any time and of course we NEVER take sides. My articles are done from what I believe to be true, and from scratch, by doing my own writing. Anything in my articles I do stress is either fact or my opinion, in fact I usually send a copy to Josie (Robbie’s P/A) to double check that everything’s OK. If it’s a controversial item, as I know she will always come back and tell me if s'thing is not right, and, if I get any facts wrong, I will admit it. I have no wish to be of TABLOID type or gossip mongering; this is a friendly no nonsense Robbie from Stoke record, that is all.
Hope I have explained things better now Rosa and feel free to keep us on our toes by writing in again - and keep up the RW support of course!
