Back in November 2005, Chasetown reached the first round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history. There they lost, but it was a major achievement to get there.

But they eclipsed even that in the 2007-08 season, becoming the lowest ranked side
ever to reach the third round.

Earlier in the competition they had knocked out local rivals Port Vale, as well as Team Bath in the first round.

it was a grat game...i was behind the net. chasetown played there best and you could not tell that cardif was alot higher up than chasetown...there wasnt much difference. atmostphere was great and all the lads played there heart out. i think that its a shame that it wasnt on tv it was a great match but insted they choose to feature av v man u. i love villa but this should have been on tv

I get goosebumps thinking about mighty minnows Chasetown. Some clubs in their league don't even average 100 per game. Go Scholars !

Don't let them move the match from home ground! The Cup is played this way for a reason. You don't inspire teams to play better than their best by taking away the earned reward.

I'm following their progress while I am staying in Glasgow. Now when people ask where I am from...they've heard of Chasetown! Well proud to be a Staffs Lass, even more so now! Come on lads! xx
