(By Henry Doulton) In the town of Burslem, a town in the north of the city of Stoke-on-Trent, is a small church buy the name a St. John’s. In the graveyard is a grave stone very much different to the other graves, this one lays in a north-south direction, where the others lay in a traditional east-west direction. ![]() The grave belongs to a lady by the name of Molly Leigh, who died in 1748, and the reason her grave is so different to the others is that she was accused of being a witch. The truth is that Molly was just different and the people of the town just didn't understand her. Do we still persecute people like this today and are we any different than we were all them years ago? Listen to the audio and I will leave it to you as to whether you believe in the legend of Molly Leigh and whether we are so different from our ancestors. So the last question is do you believe in legends, myths, ghosts or the supernatural? I certainly do whether its truth or fiction.
