Million Pound Mosque

by Charlie
Plans to build a new purpose built mosque in Hanley are starting to come together. Paul and laura went to find out more.

Initial reports said the mosque would cost approximately 3 million pounds and people were concerned where the money would come from.

But as Rana Tufail, director of the Islamic centre pointed out they plan to fund the entire project themselves, and at just a third of the costs reported originally.

To find out more about what exactly is involved in building a brand new mosque, have a listen to Paul and Laura's report.
