Where’s Your ‘Beautiful Stoke’?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder… that’s the theory anyway! The Action Desk at BBC Radio Stoke have been on the hunt for the places in Stoke-on-Trent that local people find 'beautiful'.

"Bricks and Mortar don't do it for me, nor the curves of the A500 around the city. What does inspire me is the wealth of wildlife in Stoke."

Carl Jarvis

The team at BBC Radio Stoke were on a mission to find the hidden gems of Stoke-on-Trent and show the world that it really is a very special place.

We know that Stoke-on-Trent is a stunning place - and we've been hunting down the places that are special to you.
It may not be a hugely well known location or a site of historical interest, and it needn’t be somewhere that is classically beautiful with sweeping hills and tumbling waterfalls; just somewhere that you would never want to see disappear - we’ve been looking for that personal, special space!

It seems that everyone has their very own Beautiful Stoke - from the views up at Mow Cop to the street graffiti in Hanley. Different people see different things in different ways... one man's trash really is another man's treasure.

We've put together a gallery containing some of the great photos that people have been taking of their favourite places.
