Cardiff City secure Brayson's signature
Paul Brayson
Paul Brayson will look to increase his scoring ratio at Cardiff
Cardiff City have completed the signing of striker Paul Brayson on a free transfer from Reading.

The 22-year-old Geordie was on loan with the Bluebirds for the final two months of last season and played for them in the Premiership Cup final.

The well-travelled forward is an ex-Newcastle United and Swansea City player.

Brayson scored just once in 48 appearances for Reading, but he will look to improve his ratio and help Cardiff climb out of Division Three.

Given a sustained run in the side I'm sure he'll score the goals
  Cardiff manager Billy Ayre
Cardiff's manager Billy Ayre knows the player's abilities from Brayson's time as a junior with Newcastle. Ayre said:

"I was keen to get his services on a permanent basis and thankfully I've managed to achieve that.

"Given a sustained run in the side I'm sure he'll score the goals."

Jason Fowler

Ayre is in continued discussions with Jason Fowler over his future with the Bluebirds. He is obviously keen to retain the services of such an accomplished player:

"Jason's got that little bit of something different - he can turn a game."

Lee Jarman

The future of former Cardiff defender Lee Jarman, looks a little closer to being resolved.

Jarman, who moved from Cardiff to Exeter near the beginning of last season, is hoping to secure himself a move to Oxford United, after arriving there on trial.

Bobby Gould

Billy Ayre was annoyed at speculation linking ex-Wales manager Bobby Gould with his Cardiff job.

I've been assured my position is fine
  Cardiff manager Billy Ayre
Should Sam Hammam complete his expected takeover of the club the bookmakers make Gould the favourite to link up with his old Wimbledon chairman, but Ayre sees things differently:

"I'm not too pleased about the speculation to be honest - it doesn't help me.

"I'm trying to attract players to Cardiff City... when they hear things like this it doesn't exactly smell of stability.

"I've been assured my position is fine."
