![]() | Thursday, 28 March, 2002, 08:02 GMT Coleman makes return ![]() Chris Coleman ended a 14-month lay-off Fulham and Wales defender Chris Coleman made a successful return to football on Wednesday following a 14-month absence. The 31-year-old suffered severe leg injuries in a car crash which threatened his career and required several operations. But Coleman delighted a large crowd of Fulham supporters by completing 45 minutes in the reserves' 1-1 draw with Charlton at Woking. The 28-times capped centre half told Fulham's official website: "It was great to get back on the pitch and to make the first challenge.
