Also live commentary on BBC Radio Wales - listen online

Celtic star John Hartson has been named Wales Footballer of the Year for the second time.

Hartson took the award in 1998, having twice won the young player of the year award in 1995 and 1996.

He received his latest honour in a presentation at the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel, near Cardiff, where the Welsh squad are preparing for Saturday's World Cup clash with Belarus.

The Neath-born 26-year-old has scored five times in 22 games for his country and is expected to lead the attack against Belarus at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

He said: "Obviously I am delighted with the award but I must thank Mark Hughes for having such faith in me and giving me a run in the side."

Cardiff City picked up two awards, with defender Andy Legg picking up the clubman of the year, while striker Rob Earnshaw won the young player of the year.

Welsh legend Cliff Jones, now 66, won the FA of Wales merit award.

His career highlights included being part of the famed Spurs double-winning side of 1961 and playing in the last Wales team to reach the World Cup Finals - in Sweden in 1958 when they lost to eventual winners Brazil in the quarter-finals.

Take a look back at the highs and lows of Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign in What Mark? on BBC1 Wales, Saturday 6 October, 2310-2430 BST.
