'Don't Stop Me Now' will feature on McFly's double A-sided single with brand new track 'Please, Please', was released through Universal Music Group on 17th July, which incidentally was also Tom's Birthday.
They also opened the Sport Relief night of TV in spectacular fashion on BBC ONE with the first ever live TV performance of the single.
It's not the band's only involvement with the event, drummer Harry Judd was part of a Sport Relief celebrity cricket team.
The Sport Relief Redsocks went on a three-match tour of India to play cricket and see how your money is being spent to help people leading incredibly tough lives.
Harry said: "I went out to India for Sport Relief, and having seen what a difference the money raised makes to people's lives I'm so excited that me and the guys are able to make even more of a difference by doing the Sport Relief single!"
Martyn Smith and Jon Rowlands, the Sport Relief executive producers for the BBC approached the band because they both felt that the Queen track perfectly embodied the spirit of the Sport Relief Mile, campaign and show.
Martyn Smith said: "We first had the idea a couple of years ago for McFly to cover the track for us, as we felt that their energy and enthusiasm would work perfectly for Sport Relief and, showing our ages we were determined to resurrect this classic Queen track!"
