| McAllister to carry on selling ![]() McAllister is Coventry's second top scorer this season Coventry player-manager Gary McAllister says the "big name players have to go" if his team are to cope with the harsh realities of life in Division One. McAllister has already waved goodbye to David Thompson, Lee Hughes and Magnus Hedman, and others look set to follow. "It's a case of scaling everything down so we can cope," McAllister told Football Focus. But the former Scotland international still believes his team have a good chance of reaching the play-offs and is enjoying the pressure involved. Coventry are currently ninth in the First Divison, only three points off fifth place Reading. They host struggling Burnley on Saturday and will try until the last possible minute to get international clearance for loan signing Vincente Engonga of Real Oviedo. |
