Tim Henman moved into the third round of Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Michael Llodra of France. The British number one, who is the nation's sole survivor in either singles draw, won 6-4 6-4 6-3 to earn a meeting with qualifier Robin Soderling.
After struggling against qualifier Tomas Zib in the opening round, Henman looked much more comfortable against Llodra.
The Briton was able to turn up the heat at the crucial point in each set to extinguish the challenge of the talented but erratic Frenchman.

Llodra had plenty of opportunities but Henman saved some of his best tennis for when he was facing break points and the Frenchman was ultimately unable to string enough good points together to trouble his opponent.
Both players had chances in the first set but it was Henman who secured the only break, producing four superb winning passes at 5-4 to take the set.
Henman immediately conceded his serve at the start of the second set but hit back at once to restore parity.
Both players held firm until in a repeat of the previous set, Henman broke at 5-4 to clinch the set.
In the third set, the players exchanged serve early on but Henman's break in the sixth game proved decisive.
Llodra seemed resigned to his fate while the crowd felt comfortable enough to start a Mexican wave as Henman moved into the next round, no doubt relieved that his troublesome shoulder had not been given too stiff a workout.
