2148: So time to wrap up then. Seems like you should be heading down to the local greengrocers to select your vegetable weapon. Could be tricky going round to everybody's house though. And no hard turnips please. I'll be on
twitter for the next two hours for any exchanges of vegetables or tennis opinions. Thanks for all your efforts tonight. Here's to a cracking weekend. Remember - 1400 GMT for all your Murray / Nadal magic across the BBC. There will be fireworks in that one. Definitely. Probably.
2135: Just to get you in the Muzza and Nadal mood here are a couple of things to have a cheeky Friday night tickle at. First up, I offer you
Andy Murray's latest column . Next up is
Murray's effort at Premier league predictions as he goes head-to-head with Mark Lawrenson. Good for a giggle. If you want all the O2 gossip and a few snippets from tonight's press conferences with the two players, may I suggest you check tweets from the one and only
Piers Newbery. Amreet in Leicester , via text 81111: "Rafeal Nadal hands down. I'll put my student loan on it"
Judging by the performances of the last few days, I think you may be on the money. Federer probably only about 4% behind Nadal's levels. Djokovic next and Murray has it all to do but you can't rule the boy out. Depends which Andy Murray turns up. Two cracking games though. Anybody else got any predictions? Piers Newbery on Twitter: "There we have it, Djokovic wins 6-2 6-3. Semi-finals Saturday - Rafa v Muzza at 2pm, Rog v NoDjo at 8pm. I might not go home."
2122: Time for an interview with the winner? You bet.
Djokovic, who came out tonight wearing an eye patch in celebration of his lens problems the other night, is a little sceptical of Mark Petchey's comparison with Johnny Depp. "About 10 times uglier than Johnny Depp," says a grinning Djokovic. The crowd of course are not in agreement. Everyone loves a dabble of Novak. He continues: "Thanks to you guys for making a great atmosphere. It's a great achievement reaching the semi-finals. Our team got a special glue so the lens didn't drop out! It's great for the tournament to have the top four guys in the semis. It's a big challenge for all of us."
2120: Roddick practically runs off the court. I think he might even be on the plane without a shower. Shame. So the semis line-up:
Murray v Nadal. An easy Muzza win right? That's at 1400 GMT. And in the evening it will be
Djokovic vs Federer. Interesting.
Djokovic 6-2 6-3 RoddickThe comeback begins. 0-15. C'mon Andy. A massively-high Djoko return goes into the rafters (Pat Rafters if you are after a loose tennis gag) and it goes long to give Roddick a 0-30 lead. The comeback continues. C'mon Roddick old boy. Djoko winds up his service arm and it's 30-30 within the blink of an eye. Even a dodgy Novak eye. And it's match point. Roddick's return slams into the net tape and that's it.
DJOKOVIC WINS. Plenty of fireworks there right?
Djokovic* 6-2 5-3 RoddickDjoko saving a bit of breath by challenging a ball that was in by about six inches. 15-15. Roddick's whole body language is screaming: "I want my hotel bed, I want my home etc". Shoulders drooping, head bowed, and the ball comes flying at his toes and the American can only find the net. A kick in the teeth that is. Wallop. And that means an ace bang on the line. 131mph. Nice going Andy. Djoko plays a return into the crowd and that's a game for Roddick. New balls and Djoko to serve for the match. I wonder what % of his head will be already thinking of Roger for tomorrow night's semi?
Djokovic 6-2 5-2 *RoddickAll a little routine right now. I'll take this quiet opportunity to remind everybody that the BBC will be covering the
Murray v Nadal semi-final on Saturday (that's tomorrow folks) from 14000 GMT. BBC One, Sport website, Radio 5 live sports extra. A few more booms out of the Djoko's serving top drawer and he's one game away from victory.
Djokovic* 6-2 4-2 RoddickMassively patronising, but above all, sympathetic cheers for Roddick as he battles his way to a service game win.
Sharon in London, via text 81111: "Slippers - wouldn't be seen in those. Slipper socks on the other hand... And back to the tennis."
Crikey - I think someone just raised the bar. Worst ever Christmas present received? Djokovic 6-2 4-1 *RoddickSomething to smile about for Roddick as he plays a vicious forehand and Djoko's racquet makes connection but fails to return. 30-15. A weak return follows though and Djoko remains in control. Djoko's forehand return crashes against the tape and drops out. Bit of a hope or am I clutching at straw-type things? Roddick showing some fight and he scrambles at the back and plonks a desperate return up towards the roof. Djoko waits an age and finally composes himself before bashing the smash back for the game. Smiles. Not sure Roddick will be smiling though.
Djokovic* 6-2 3-1 RoddickA big shake of the American mane as Roddick ploughs the opening point into the net. Seconds later the ball goes astray again and it's 0-30. The crowd not really getting good value for money tonight. Djoko opens his body up and crash, boom, wallop, it's a winner down Roddick's backhand and it's another game point. And it's all going a little stinky for A-Rod with a double-fault handing Djoko the game.
Djokovic 6-2 2-1 *RoddickThere's hope for Roddick as he battles away to get it at 30-30. But Roddick blows it. He approaches the net after a nice forehand and slice combo but it strays painfully long. Game over. He's not been without chances tonight. He walks off court with head bowed.
Piers Newbery on Twitter: "Djokovic takes the set and with it the last semi-final place, all a bit of a damp squib from Roddick after missing an early break point."
Djokovic* 6-2 1-1 RoddickRoddick showing some semblance of fight. Or Djokovic just taking a breather. The American wins it to love and snares it with an ace.
Tim Henman's former coach
David Felgate on 5 live sports extra: "Roddick's body language has been so strange he just hasn't been there at all. It will be fascinating to hear what he has to say afterwards."
Djokovic 6-2 1-0 *RoddickCrowd have gone from quiet to positively muted. A shame. Comfortable service game for Djoko. Has Andy got anything left in the tank? He must be thinking of that plane home. Or take in some football (or rather soccer) over the weekend. What a turnaround. A few days ago he took the first set off Nadal and looked red-hot.
RayLa at the O2, via text 81111: "Djokovic is as fit as a butcher's pencil but clearly would struggle to run a sub-3 hour marathon."
Now there's question for Novak instead of the 'How do you fancy playing Roger?' Which begs the question - Which tennis player do you think would be the best marathon runner? Djokovic* 6-2 RoddickRoddick looks good with his forehand but Djoko turns those wrists and Roddick has not got a chance. The ball limps into the net and it's 30-30. Worrying times for Roddick fans and now it's set point. Still no fireworks. Mmmm. And Roddick tries to pick the ball up at his feet and it goes long. That's it. Game. Set. And Roddick is out. Even if he wins the next two sets. I can't lie to you. I feel a little flat.
Djokovic 5-2 *RoddickHey Andy - there is a vegetable in my face resting on this and you are not helping me. This is all a little flat. Another service game as comfortable as my slippers. Slippers eh? Thoughts? Feetwear for crusty old people or must-wear foot items? It's the classic Christmas present from an Auntie isn't it?
Joe in Corsham, via text 81111: "Roddick deserves another crack at a big title. He is a true professional."
Djokovic* 4-2 RoddickRoddick dishes up a few 132mph serves and it gives him the game but there is plenty to do with the Serb a break up. All pretty comfortable so far and the crowd sound apprehensive. I think they know something.
Dan in Barcelona, via text 81111: "I cannot see anything else but a 2-0 win for Djokovic, but Roddick won't make it easy!"
Djokovic 4-1 *RoddickRoddick has not settled at all. Two wild shots and it's game over. A fair bit of pressure to win this one without dropping a set but that is exactly what Roddick needs to do. Massive hill to climb already. Any words of advice?
Djokovic* 3-1 RoddickA really scruffy service game from the American and Djoko breaks without too much effort. Too many errors from A-Rod. Andy's wife does not look best pleased. I'm sure she'll be wanting another 48 hours in London for some Christmas shopping.
2024: Some pre-match thoughts from the players from 10 minutes ago.
Djokovic says: "I'm feeling good - he's a big server and it's not easy and the details will decide the match." He's got solution courtside for his contact lens by the way.
Roddick says: "My grand plan was not to pay attention [to the Nadal match] but I would have had to wear a helmet to avoid it. I'm going to out there and try to win. I played well against Rafa [he lost in three sets] the other night so it's back to basics - first serves, return the serves and get the job done."
Djokovic 2-1 *RoddickNothing wrong with Djoko's serve there. A swift one make no mistake.
Anonymous, via text 81111: "A great build up, but perhaps a bit embarrassing that it's Group A rather than B"
Oh lordy. There was me talking about the fireworks and vegetables. I should have been concentrating on which group is playing. See 2000 entry. A national apology. It should of course have been reading "A is for....." etc etc. I'll let you fill in the As.... Djokovic* 1-1 RoddickRoddick looks like he's got he's battery-propelled trainers on tonight with some pretty special returns at the net. Boom. Game over.
*
denotes NEXT to serve Djokovic 1-0 *RoddickA very steady opening. Still plenty of time for those fireworks I'm needing to avoid a potato pelting. Djoko looks fairly comfortable until it gets to deuce and then he starts wobbling. A wide one and those American supporters are now in full of voice. Djoko holds on though. Bit of a flimsy service game that.
*
denotes NEXT to serve 2013: Djokovic to serve first. Enjoy the ride.
Piers Newbery on Twitter: "Right, off to take my seat for a bit of Djoko v Roddick. Hoping the American takes the first set, then it's all up for grabs. Djoko in 3"
2010: So the permutations: Roger Federer was the first player to make the semi-finals after winning all three of his matches. So here are the scenarios: If Djokovic wins tonight he will play Federer. If Djokovic loses in three sets then he will still play Federer. So call me Mr Einstein, but that means Mr Roddick needs to win in straight sets. Simple. Clear? Roddick is 5-2 up in the head-to-heads against Djoko.
2006: Djokovic wins the coin toss and will serve. Before I say anything else, I simply have to point you in the direction of tomorrow's tennis action between
Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal. It starts at
1400 GMT and will be across every bloomin' BBC outlet known to man, woman and Santa Claus.
BBC One, BBC Sport website, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra. Video only available to UK folks I'm afraid. All live text words on the website will be available to the whole planet and beyond.
2003: Before all the sexy permutations and stats, how about telling the world what's inside your head? Predictions, opinions and any other tennis nonsense you can think of.

606. 2000: Group B tonight folks. B for banging, beautiful, beguiling, becoming, breath-taking and big. Big because the fourth and last semi-final place at the ATP World Tour Finals is up for grabs.
Novak Djokovic vs Andy Roddick. If tonight's match at the O2 is not rammed full of glittering, exploding fireworks then I will personally come to your house and you can throw a stinky vegetable of your choice at my head. Fact. I am a man of my word.
1956: A very splendid evening to you. Alright? It's Friday night and if you've got any sense you will be celebrating a hard week of whatever it is you do by chomping on some tennis action. Even if you're out, you can follow the action. Aint life a beautiful thing?
