Andy Murray says he will consider his coaching vacancy before his next tournament in Beijing following his shock US Open third-round exit. The world number four has been without a coach since parting with fellow Scot Miles Maclagan last month. And he was out of sorts when losing to Stanislas Wawrinka at Flushing Meadows. "I'll give some thought to my coaching situation before the next tournament at the end of September in Beijing," Murray said on his own website. The British number one also vowed to "make sure I'm in top shape for the remaining stretch of the season. I'm determined to end 2010 on a high". Murray, who is now back in the UK, said: "I'm still disappointed about my defeat at the US Open. I know I had a good chance this year.  | Don't worry, I'll be back stronger than ever next year |
"I've had a few days to reflect on the match and I know I didn't play near the level I'm capable of. "Having said that, full credit to Stan, who played a great match. "He's a top player, has a solid game and played very well. Sometimes you have to give credit to the other player." Murray appeared downbeat about his chances of winning his first major when speaking immediately after his US Open defeat, but his words were more positive on his website. "By and large, my record in the Slams has been pretty good this year - a final in Australia and a Wimbledon semi-final," he said. "But, rest assured, no-one is trying harder than me to go that step further and win a Slam. "I've been on the road in America for the past eight weeks, so I'll have a bit of time off over the next few weeks to recharge my batteries. "I'll try and forget about tennis for a while. In fact, I'm planning to take in a bit of live Premier League and Champions League action, catch up with friends and maybe re-jig the fantasy football team a little." Murray thanked his fans for their support and added: "Don't worry, I'll be back stronger than ever next year."
