Tomas Berdych was my dark horse for the tournament. He's a very good player who I've watched since he was 17/18.
When I saw him, I thought this guy looked like Marat Safin. He broke on to the scene early, and almost had too much power. But he's learned to control that power now and to use it when it is needed.
More importantly, he's learned to play under pressure. Playing Roger Federer on Centre Court was the biggest test of his career.
Having to hold that fourth set, boy was that tough, but he did it and is now in the semi-finals. It's because he believes in himself now and he's got the mix right.
We've got a new breed of player, the Soderlings, the Berdychs, it was just a matter of time until these big guys came through.
Federer blames back trouble for defeat
They're agile, they could be basketball players, that's where the game is heading - long, lean powerful players.
As for Roger Federer, he won the Australian Open this year and that was the best I've seen him play.
The one thing that has held him up is his lack of willingness to go to the net.
He doesn't come in much any more and when he does, he doesn't volley as well as he used to. He has a brilliant attacking game which he hasn't been using much over the last few years.
But we haven't seen the last of him. His peak has been so high, he's just over the edge of that, but he's not over the hill, and on his day he will be tough to beat in a Grand Slam. He's got more Grand Slams in him but he won't win them as regularly as before.

Berdych wasn't going to give Federer time, he was going to go for the winners. Still, Roger had his chances but he didn't do it and all credit to Berdych, he played well under pressure.
We always knew he was talented, he has all the shots in the book, but there was a lack of maturity, he never believed he was as good as everyone said he was, but something has happened this year.

Losing to Soderling in the French Open semi-finals has made him more hungry.
It's a changing of the guard, a little bit, it was always going to happen.
Berdych will play Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals and he's one of the most talented young players on the circuit.
There will be pressure on both of them. It will be a different contest, there will be a lot more rallies.
