Kuznetsova beat compatriot Dinara Safina in last year's final |
Svetlana Kuznetsova will begin the defence of her women's French Open title against Romania's Sorana Cirstea on day one at Roland Garros on Sunday. The Russian is first up on Philippe Chatrier Court ahead of last year's beaten men's finalist Robin Soderling. British number three Anne Keothavong is third on Court One against Italy's 14th seed Flavia Pennetta. World number five and British number one Andy Murray open up his campaign against Richard Gasquet on Monday. Swedish fifth seed Soderling faces France's Laurent Recouderc, while eighth seed and home favourite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga takes on Germany's Daniel Brands in the final match on Philippe Chatrier. Tenth seed Marin Cilic plays the first match on Court Suzanne Lenglen against Brazil's Richard Melo, while women's 10th seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus takes on Argentina's Gisela Dulko before 2002 runner-up Venus Williams meets Switzerland's Patty Schnyder. Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela and American Ryan Sweeting are in action in the final match on Court Six. The winner of that game will play either Murray or Gasquet.
